Multnomah Falls

$350.00

This giclee print on fine art canvas measures 36 inches high by 12 inches wide and is a painting of Multnomah Falls, on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge National Recreation Area; a spectacular geologic feature that forms the most of the border between Washington and Oregon. The gorge was formed at the end of the last ice age when the prehistoric giant Lake Bonneville emptied out into the Pacific in a great gush of water from melting glaciers. It is believed that a massive glacier had formed a plug at the western end of the lake and when it melted it caused one of the greatest floods in the world, gouging out the gorge from solid volcanic rock. The area is known by it's many water falls such as this one, the sixth highest in North America with a combined height of nearly 700 feet.

This print comes with a standard wood floater frame and is printed on gallery wrap canvas. Shipping is included for any zip code within the United States.
